La Cienega Legends 2016 – Parker Kennedy Window for Barclay Butera

[siteorigin_widget class=”SiteOrigin_Widget_Image_Widget”][/siteorigin_widget]
Is this window fabulous or what?  I love it!  This week is the week of LaCienega Legends or LCDQ as the design community calls it.  During LCDQ designers from across the country are asked to design window along the LaCienega Boulevard of LA.  This year my dear friends Lance and David of Parker Kennedy Living fame were asked to design Barclay Butera’s window.  Each year the committee of LaCienega chooses a theme and this year’s theme was “One of a Kind”.  Lance and David chose Wonder Woman for their inspiration for the window and commissioned well-known Atlanta artist, Mark Boomershine to paint one of his iconic Wonder Woman paintings.  No doubt this painting standing 72″ x 72″ commands your attention as you stroll down LaCienega Boulevard.  I love the nod to the ocean both Mark, and Parker Kennedy gave to the theme since this event is on the West coast.  If you are in LA this week, make sure you visit the window in person.  If you see Parker Kennedy, please give them a kiss for me!  They deserve a big high five from the design community for doing the Atlanta showhouse, then the window in LA and next week will be installing the Southern Style Now Showhouse in New Orleans!  Boy!  These guys are like the Eveready bunny!  If you like the window, make sure you click on the link and vote for it!
