Have you ever witnessed something so beautiful it was hard to describe?Sometimes the experience of actual being in a space is so much greater than a photograph can portray. This was the case of the Bocci chandelier installed at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London for Design Festival week. Canadian based designer, Omer Arbel suspended 280 individual series 28 glass glass pendant lamps. Each lamp was handmade in Bocci’s Canadian glass factory using a process developed by Arbel. lights from copper cord to create a beautiful chandelier for London Design Week. Our guide said the copper wiring was first hung and then the glass was affixed to the wires. The chandelier descended from the highest pinnacle of the museum ceiling then spanned the height of the Museum through the Ceramics Galleries and continued to descend through the coffered ceiling beneath to finally appear above the main entrance.

The Victoria & Albert Museum was pretty incredible all around.
I could have spent days in the museum. The sculptures and art alone were
fabulous. There was an interesting Pearl exhibit. The fashion exhibits were
amazing, with collections of Christian Dior and other famous designers, as
well as a current exhibit of
We arrived before the museum was open and had a grand tour
of all the exhibits in celebration of London Design Festival Week.
The sketchbook gallery was my favorite.
