I can’t begin to guess how long ago, I met Lesli Devito online. We began commenting on each other’s blogs and before long, had become friends. We finally met IRL (“in real life” ) last March, when we both decided to attend Design Bloggers Conference in LA. We chatted prior to the trip and realized we were on the same flight. I got on the plane there was Leslie smiling at me. We chatted over the seats the entire flight to LA. Lesli is as down to earth person in person, as she seems on her blog. We had a fun fantasy week in LA with great speakers, lunch at the Ivy and poof back to reality. I don’t know if you are familiar with Lesli’s blog My Old Country House, if not, def check it out. On her blog, She chronicles daily life, DIY home projects and her beautiful art. It’s a great read because she doesn’ take life to seriously. Leslie has been featured in House Beautiful and most recently in Family Circle for her kitchen redo. Here is a photo she posted on her blog of the article in Family Circle :

It’s a great article, go buy the new Family Circle and
read about how Lesli revamped her kitchen on a budget. I adore how she painted the floor. She used Formica for the countertops that looks like calacatta marble. How smart is that? I might use the same in my kitchen reno.
