Here’s a sneak peek of one of project that I’m currently working on.  It has taken a while to do this project because of many reasons.  Can’t wait to share all of it with you.  It is the oldest house in Chapel Hill and was built in 1815.  Notice the horizontalwainscoting  and wide pine flooring, which are both original to the house.  Through the years previous owners had added things to “modernize” the house.  One of the additions was ceiling fans in all the bedrooms.  We removed and replaced two of the ceiling fans with industrial fans, in rooms which will be inhabited by boys who like ceiling fans. I have never been a big fan of ceiling fans, but if you have to have them, this is the way to go I think.  Sleek, simple design.  The pharmacy floor lamp beside the chair is byBarbara Cosgrove.  I liked the rusty finish.  The pillows in the chair are made from old quilts.  Chapel Hill is home of the “UNC Tar heels” whose school colors are Carolina blue and white. The Madeline Weinrib “Megan”  rug  is a subtle nod to the tar heels.  I will show you more pics once the window treatments are done.  Hopefully soon.
It’s been a long process but we are almost done!
