Sarah and Tina’s vision for their room was inspired by the complexity and contrasts within jazz music and the Art Deco aesthetic that defined its heyday. They successfully married patterns and textures popular in the 1920’s, like geometrics, sateens, and mohair, with a present day palette of blacks and whites. The result was a modern, sophisticated lounge with lingering notes of appreciation for Art Deco days.

About Holiday House
For the sixth consecutive year, breast cancer survivors and advocates band together to create Holiday House, a designer showhouse featuring holiday-inspired rooms created by some of today’s top interior designers. The event took place in the historic Academy Mansion at 2 East 63rd Street in Manhattan and was held November 21 – December 18, 2013.
Holiday House NYC benefits The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which was founded by Evelyn Lauder in 1993 and continues to be a leader in the fight against breast cancer. Leadership of the event includes Leonard Lauder as Honorary Chair; Founder Iris Dankner and Christopher Hyland as Co-Chairs; and Alexa Hampton, Mario Buatta, and Thom Filicia will serve as Design Chairs..
