In this bleek, cold time of the year, we think of staying warm,
eating good food, adorning our homes for the season and making merry. There are those who will not be so fortunate. I challenge each of you to think of the orphans this holiday season.
This picture speaks to my heart. This face looks desperate.
This is the face of so many children in the world…
James 1:27 “Pure and lasting religion in the sight of God our Father means that we must care for the orphans and widows in their troubles and refuse to let the world corrupt us.”

2. The New Hope Foundation
Founded by Robin and Joyce Hill, this foster home takes physically handicapped children and provides a loving environment while the children get necessary healthcare and become well enough to be adopted into forever families. The Hills are an amazing couple who have given their lives to helping these children. I had the honor of meeting Robin this summer. There has been an amazing book written about the Hope House. You can read about the book and buy it here!

“I have learned that I will not change the world. Jesus will do that. I can, however, change the world for one person. So I keep stopping and loving one person at a time. Because this is my call as a Christian.” Katie Davis
