Hi, I’m Susi, a writer for Design Shuffle, a wonderful online community of designers and design lovers from around the world.  I am excited to be guest blogging at Lisa Mende Design today. Lisa has so many great design ideas and inspirational photos on her blog.  My guest post today is all about inspiring ideas for lighting for the foyer.  Lisa asked that I include pics and ideas for those of us who don’t have tall ceilings in our foyers. Hope these lighting options will help you light up your foyer. Thank for letting me and Design Shuffle come visit. Enjoy!

Love this small foyer decorated in a beautiful blue wallpaper. The chandelier and table lamp provide ambient and overhead lighting.  The lighting coordinates with both the wallpaper and parson’s table.

Love the interesting architectural mirror flanked by wall lights in this charming foyer. Wall lights are a smart choice for a foyer where table and floor space is limited.

A beautiful chandelier is perfect for a foyer, no matter the ceiling height.  It’s all about choosing a chandelier with the right proportion for the space. Make sure you have enough clearance to walk underneath it!
