When deciding on the width or diameter of a chandelier for a room, the “rule of thumb” is to take the length and width of the room and add together or half the width of your table. As far as the height, well that is determined by your ceiling height and the amount of distance you hang the chandelier above your table. Again, rule of thumb is 30″-36″ above the table.
